7Y 10-28-2016 Friday Chapter 11 Review Objective: Prepare for Monday’s chapter 11 test. Agenda: Prayer Do Now: Finish page 373-374 When you are finished with the Do Now, answer the short essay questions in Google Classroom or make flashcards/review flashcards of key terms and people from chapter 11. Go over Do Now and short essay questions Homework: Study Log – 2 entries (2 separate days)

Page 373-374 answers 12. A. Stephen F. Austin pg. 351 Antonio Lopez de Santa Anna – leader of Mexico who led forces against the Texans in the Texas War for Independence. Got rid of Mexico’s Constitutions. Also lost in Mexican American war to the U.S. pg 351 and page 360 12 b. rebelled because of Mexican actions: - no more new American settlements - no more bringing in of slaves - When Santa Anna tried to take cannons from Gonzales, TX this directly started the rebellion page 351 13a. Didn’t want to upset the balance of free and slave states, wanted to avoid conflict with other countries 13 b. they picked up some of the language into their culture, they began to trade. Morning Prayers - Friday In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. AMEN (Join me in offering our day to God.) My God, I thank you for the gift of another day to praise you. I offer you all my prayers works, joys, and sufferings today. Amen.   (Let us now place ourselves before Jesus on the Cross) The cross is my sure safety. It is the Cross that I ever adore. The Lord’s Cross is with me always. The Lord’s Cross is my refuge.  We adore You O Christ, and we praise You, because by Your holy cross, You have redeemed the world. (Let us pray.) Dear Heavenly Father, grant me the grace to know the difference between right and wrong, and the courage always to do what is right, Through Christ, our Lord. AMEN  In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. AMEN (Please stand for the pledge) I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
