2016 Competition Dates Senior football season starts on the weekend of April 2nd/ 3rd. Only one double header during the season. Will only affect clubs involved in the Chatham Cup on Queen’s Birthday Monday. Under 17s will have a break during 1st week of the school holidays. Likely to be no games on weekends of April 23/24 & July 16/17.
2016 Competition Information Central League and Premier Leagues to TEXT results + goal scorers to 021 222 6852 All other divisions to continue texting results to 021 295 6128 Teams can still also enter their results online Team entries will open for the 2016 season on February 19th and close on March 11th. Same process as 2015; using the online team registration forms. Fortnightly draws to be up by March 22nd.

2016 Regulation Changes Central League Number of substitutes allowed in WCL increased from three to five. Gives all members of the squad the opportunity to play a part in the match. Currently no clause regarding players suspended in College competitions or regulation to allow a carry over of sanction. No clause to be added outlining this however both parties (CS & CF) would work together to ensure serious misconducts dealt with appropriately. Clarifies this in case it comes up during a season.
2016 Regulation Changes Senior Playing Regulations Local League winners entry point changed from Capital 3 to Capital 5. MAG discussed following Eastbourne remit and decided Cap 3 was arbitrary point and bottom of Tier 1 (i.e. Cap 5) was a fair compromise. Added a clause outlining that should both the winners of the Horo/Kapiti and Wairarapa Local Leagues want to take up automatic entry, a one-off playoff at a neutral venue will take place to determine who this is. Number of relegations if both sides wanted entry could be as high as five from the entry division down.
2016 Regulation Changes Clause added regarding the notification period for clubs wishing to accept automatic entry from the local leagues. Need to notify CF by no later than December 11th. Provides certainty for teams in the entry point division to sufficiently plan for the coming season and let players know what division they can expect to be in. Half-time regulation added to state “The half-time break will be 15 minutes from whistle-to-whistle unless there is mutual agreement from both teams to be shorter”. Currently no mention of how long this should be so pulls regs in line with Referee Laws of the Game.
2016 Regulation Changes Clause added in Refereeing for Tier 2-5 competitions (i.e. grades where a referee is not appointed) saying: “The home team will referee the match unless both teams agree to referee a half each prior to the match”. Clause added in Re-Grade regulation 6.6b that states: “any one team can only receive three regraded players per game”. Current clause can be read two ways with some teams thinking they can have four and others three. Brings it in line for everyone.
Goalnet Update - standardise process across Feds Introduction of National Registration Form (NRF): - standardise process across Feds - collect accurate data - Allows rollout of member profiles in future Mandatory for all clubs to use from 2016 onwards for every player registration Clubs can make additions to the NRF based on their information needs for registration details
Goalnet Update What this means for clubs? No longer able to ‘roll-over’ membership database from previous seasons. No facility to manually add member directly into club database. Can only be registered using the NRF. Any questions can be directed to Renee at Federation level or Tobi Agdebi at NZF for National Queries.
Goalnet Update- Payments Capital Football can help set up clubs to use this in 2016 Small fee for Credit Card payments. Club decides whether to absorb cost or pass onto user. Clubs only need to produce deposit slip to set-up then ready to take all payments through Goalnet. Fast and easy way to collect payments, from season fees to apparel orders etc.
