KS4 Curriculum Core Choices Wider Learning

CORE in 2017 (Part 1) Mixed ability teaching groups 2nd World Religion and more source materials Religious Education All students follow English Language and English Literature Sets with smaller intervention group – no tiers of entry English Sets with a smaller intervention group – Foundation or Higher tier - enriched, tougher content and formulae Maths Personalised pathways - triple or combined science Science

What happens in Sept 2017? GCSEs commence in Sept 2017 – NO changes can be made after 30th September 2016 Subject changes may be requested in writing to Mr Bazen up to 30th September 2017 Following consultation and discussion, and ONLY if there is space within the group will a change be approved – written confirmation will be sent from school if this is the case Any final decision regarding group sizes or if subjects will run remains with Mr Wright, Headteacher
