It was pouring on that stormy afternoon. Bob, Ally and Sarah were bored. They were tired of being stuck inside, so they decided to go for a walk to the park. As they arrived at the park, they noticed a bag hanging on the rocking dinosaur.

Bob slid the bag off of the dinosaur’s mouth Bob slid the bag off of the dinosaur’s mouth. Ally and Bob nervously peered into the bag. “Chalk?! But how did it not melt?” asked Ally in amazement. “Do you think it’s magic? “ Bob wondered aloud. “Yeah! The bag looks just like a wizard’s magic hat!” Sarah exclaimed.

Ally picked up the yellow chalk. She stared at it for a very long time Ally picked up the yellow chalk. She stared at it for a very long time. Then, Ally started to draw a sun with the bright yellow chalk. Ally was scared because she didn’t want it to melt.

After Ally drew the sun, a bright light shined in their eyes After Ally drew the sun, a bright light shined in their eyes. It looked like the sun. It was the sun! They covered their eyes. It floated into the sky!

Sarah carefully took out the orange piece of chalk then started drawing tons of monarch butterflies. The monarch butterflies started to come out of the cement and started flying around. She kept on drawing more and more. She didn’t want them to fly away because she wanted to keep one for a pet.

As the butterflies rose from the ground, Sarah and Ally screamed, “Yayyyy!” Ally and Sarah held up their hands to see if any butterflies would land on their hands. Even Bob, who was amazed too, had a smile on his face. “Wow!” Bob yelled. “I wonder what I can do…”

Bob slowly pulls the green chalk out of the bag Bob slowly pulls the green chalk out of the bag. Bob wondered out loud, “Is this really magic chalk? It looks like regular, boring chalk.” He starts to draw a dinosaur.

They see a shadow of a dinosaur on the ground and they scream! “Bob, why did you make a dinosaur?!” “Wait a minute! The dinosaur is coming out of the ground! Maybe it is magic!” said Ally.

Then, the scary dinosaur was chasing Bob, Ally and Sarah all around the playground. Sarah and Ally were screaming at the top of their lungs! They were hoping that their friend Bob wouldn’t get hurt. Bob was hiding in the tunnel slide and didn’t notice that the dinosaur was at the bottom of the slide.

Ally and Sarah raced to the tube slide. They all hid nervously inside Ally and Sarah raced to the tube slide. They all hid nervously inside. The giant dinosaur came to the tube. He laid down to look into the tube.

Bob quickly grabbed a piece of blue chalk and as fast as a cheetah, he drew a picture of rain falling to erase the dinosaur.

As they hid in the slide, Sarah screamed, “Please, please don’t eat me As soon as Sarah stopped screaming the rain started pouring down on the dinosaur. Sarah thought the dinosaur was fading, but she was not sure.

Sarah, Bob and Ally were so relieved that the dinosaur melted from the rain. All that was left was melted green chalk. They were so happy that the scary dinosaur had melted and Bob was safe after the dinosaur tried to attack him.

They slid the bag back onto the rocking dinosaur’s mouth They slid the bag back onto the rocking dinosaur’s mouth. Bob looked back over his shoulder at the rocking dinosaur as he and Ally and Sarah walked back home.
