indefinite articles What are indefinite articles? In English, indefinite articles mean “a”. Examples: A book A girl Singular Plural Masculine Un(o) = a/an Unos = some Feminine Una = a/an Unas = Some What are some examples? Una chica = a girl Un policía = a policeman Unas chicas = Some girls

When don’t you use articles? You never use articles when describing someone’s occupation. For example: Ella es doctora. Él es maestro. El chico es estudiante. (As you can see we did not use el, la, un, una).
