Resources and Social Media A Catalyst for Growth

The Oceania Sport Information Centre (OSIC) Created in 1997 through a partnership that consisted of The University of the South Pacific and the Oceania National Olympic Committees. We are an Olympic Studies Centre and the only sports information centre to receive Olympic Solidarity funding. We are a reference service for Oceania sport organizations and we work on special projects. A Catalyst for Growth

Examples of Projects We have an agreement with The Pacific Games Council to upload videos from previous Pacific Games to Youtube.com and make the collection available to the Public. Create Oceania Highlights, a monthly publication that covers special themes such as sports and social media, nutrition and the Road to Rio. Assist NOCs with using the membership database for analytics and talent identification. A Catalyst for Growth

Oceania National Olympic Committees (ONOC) Oceania Sport Education Program- OSEP are sport education training courses available for ONOC member countries sport organisations and training providers.  The program currently offers sport administration and generic coaching training materials and is expected to expand to other sport education areas like sport science and medicine, community social sport coaching, team manager and sport management and governance. Components continued Oceania Regional Anti-Doping Organization (ORADO) – The ORADO shall be responsible for advocating, promoting and coordinate the fight against doping in the Oceania. Women and Sport - To build the capacity of women in sport throughout Oceania utilizing existing resources for new opportunities and improved results for the benefit of women and sport for all.
