Global Trading Patterns 2015 In 2015 China again world’s leading merchandise exporter United States the leading merchandise importer Top five traders, China, US, Germany, Japan and UK accounted for more than one third world trade Top three countries accounted for more than one quarter A fall in prices in international markets has a particular impact on Africa, especially Sub-Saharan Africa and other commodity exporters The U.S. remained the leading trader of commercial services However China, ranked second was the only economy with positive growth for both exports and imports.
