The reading focus is recounting stories and determining their central message. In Word Work, we are practicing words with short vowel sounds. In grammar, we are learning about multiple meaning words. We are exploring addition strategies in math. In writing, we are finishing our personal narratives about our summer vacation. Next Week: Our story next week is Henry and Mudge Under the Yellow Moon. The reading focus will be narrative elements. In Word Work, we will be practicing words with long vowel sounds with a silent e. In grammar, we will learn about adjectives. We are exploring addition and subtraction strategies in math. In writing, we are working on narratives.
