HPwES Can Provide Consumer Protections for Residential Financing Programs across the Nation! Home Performance with ENERGY STAR (HPwES) can enhance residential programs for existing homes by providing a platform offering several consumer protections HPwES incorporates and requires several key attributes that could be integrated into residential financing program designs HPwES can serve as a best practice for programs to benefit consumers and encourage greater energy efficiency, savings and higher quality installations
