CITCOE History of CIT in Oregon 1995 – Portland Police Bureau brings CIT to Oregon Based on the Memphis Model 2005 – Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office establishes a CIT program 2006 – Marion County Sheriff’s Office establishes a CIT program As of June 2017: 16 active CIT programs 5 developing CIT programs 4 emerging CIT programs Kevin – 5 minutes
