Canadian School Libraries: Leading Learning Standards as LIBE Program Framework Principles of collection development and organization support participatory learning and multiple literacies Courses designed as personal learning communities to model Development of library programs based on community of learners, multiple literacies and active, inquiry-based learning
Integrating the Leading Learning Standards: Practical Applications Students introduced to the document in the foundation course and it is referred to as relevant in each of the core courses. Assignments and learning activities require students apply standards. Students also introduced to the new IFLA Guidelines for School Libraries especially in connection to school libraries not as well resourced as those in major Canadian cities.

Tuition Fees Tuition is paid on a course-by-course basis. The 2017/18 tuition fee for Diploma in Education courses is $192.64 per credit, equal to $577.92 per 3-credit course. Diploma - 10 courses, 30 credits Certificate - 5 courses, 15 credits Tuition fees are in Canadian dollars, are reviewed annually by the UBC Board of Governors, and are subject to change.
