Reading Quick Check: Ch 7 Do Now: Take out a pen/pencil and a piece of paper. This is not a quiz, simply a check. Without looking at your novel, respond to the following questions: What farm product does Napoleon decide to sell against the wishes of those who provide it? How do those animals respond? Who is blamed for all the troubles emerging on Animal Farm, and how is history “rewritten” as a result? How does Napoleon “purge” Animal Farm of “traitors” and “troublemakers”? What is banned and replaced on Animal Farm, since it “only applied to the revolution”?

Now…. Take out your Vocabulary Unit 9 Exercises and exchange them with a partner. OR If you have NOT completed your Unit 9 exercises, please take a Vocab book and your exercises into the hallway and work on them there.

Next…. Take out your packets and open to your packet’s Allegory Chart. Using notes, details you remember from the novel, or your other allegory chart, fill in the chart in your packet. If your chart is completed, go ahead and begin reading Chapter 8 of Animal Farm to prepare for tomorrow’s quiz.
