32 = ? + P E M S A D 25 33 (8 x 2) 16 8 2 -1 5 Order of Operations 52 Order of Operations The last thing you do is add or subtract….. First you would start with completing any work in the parenthesis…. Then you would solve any exponents in the equation.. BUT like multiplication and division you solve what ever comes first…….adding or subtracting Next you would solve any multiplication or division…….. Order of operations is the order you solve an equation in …….. You have to start with P and then work your way over through each of the letters…… BUT you solve what ever comes first in the equation…..if divide comes first you divide first….and so on P stands for parenthesis E stands for exponent M stands for multiplication D stands for divide A stands for add S stands for subtract A great and easy way to remember this is through 2 = 32 ? 25 + 33 (8 x 2) 16 8 2 -1 5 P E M S A D Remember with: PLEASE EXCUSE MY DEAR AUNT SALLY

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 5 Median click here The middle number (in a sorted list of numbers). 2 3 Lets see… To find the Median, place the numbers you are given in value order now... find the middle number Put these numbers in order good job! In these numbers what number is in the middle??? The 4 is the number in the middle!! 7 4 is the number in the middle AKA the median 1 6 4 6 is the middle number

pattern Things that are arranged following a rule or rules. If you need more help with pattern, click here! One day, Kalvin was taking a stroll down the side walk As he continued to walk, he thought to himself… He realized there was a pattern while he was walking Kalvin was right! Next in the pattern was, star, heart, star, heart! Hmm.. I wonder what’s next in this PATTERN Before these four squares, the PATTERN was, star, heart, star, heart. So the pattern must be the same! Star, heart, star, heart!
