Conclusions and thanks

IDS-NF#6: Progress: Accelerator: Detector: Proton driver: Target: Green-field, CERN-SPL, FNAL-Project-X, RAL-ISIS-u/g schemes defined ... Target: Significant progress identifying issues that need to be addressed in ‘RDR phase’ ... Front-end: Development of understanding of particle load (and mitigation), RF gradient mitigation, ... Muon acceleration: Progress to study of cavities and magnets, tracking studies, Storage ring: Study of instrumentation maturing; issues identified that will need to be addressed in ‘RDR phase’ ... Detector: MIND: significant progress defining, e.g. transfer matrices Near detector: initial options now defined. Issues identified, e.g. how many, location, etc.

Interim Design Report: https://www.ids-nf.org/wiki/FrontPage/Documentation/IDR

Baseline specification document: Status: Accelerator: I have: Proton driver; Target (sent not included); Front end Linacs/RLA FFAG I need: Storage ring Detector: Waiting for input! Need to complete asap! Remaining contributions by 29Sep10 to release draft for comment 01Oct10.

FP7 opportunities: Follow-ons now being discussed for EUCARD and Laguna – opportunity to define packages of work that could be included, e.g.: Laguna ‘prime’: Magnetisation of large detectors? EUCARD ‘prime’: RF programme at CERN? Linac/RLA cryo module? FFAG kicker/septum Please discuss in working groups!

Future fixed points/meetings: Plenary meetings: 18—21Jan11: RAL, in conjunction with EUROnu annual meeting 17—19Nov11: Victoria Tech: Patrick Huber ... Apr12: Glasgow University: Paul Soler invites us In addition: Near detector workshop ... April in Naples? Tentative offer from Pasquale Miggliozzi ECFA panel: Watch this space, not yet defined

Thanks: Many thanks to: And especially: Conveners for working group agendas; You for contributions; And especially: Rose Hayes and Debbie Loader who made all the arrangements and Mary Elizabeth Shewry for support
