dōTERRA® Wellness Advocate Resources – Everything You Need to Succeed

Succeeding as a Wellness Advocate As dōTERRA Wellness Advocates, we have the opportunity to build our own businesses and share our love of essential oils with the world. While there are many approaches to building a dōTERRA business, a major key to succeeding as a Wellness Advocate is to use every resource at your disposal. Yes, it will take hard work on your part to build a prosperous dōTERRA business, but dōTERRA has provided a wide variety of resources to help us succeed as Wellness Advocates. If you have a question, hit a road block, need ideas, or need help building your business, chances are, dōTERRA has already provided the perfect resource to help you on your journey to becoming a successful Wellness Advocate. For those of you who are new Wellness Advocates, I want to talk about the basic resources that you’ll definitely want to know about as you are getting started. For anyone who has already experienced success as a Wellness Advocate, we’ll be discussing other resources that can help you continue that success and progress even further with your dōTERRA business.

Taking advantage of dōTERRA® resources Stay connected Educate yourself Learn how to share Before we dive into the diverse resources that dōTERRA provides for Wellness Advocates, let’s talk about the best ways to take advantage of the resources at your fingertips in a way that will help you build your business. First, it is important to stay connected. Staying connected to dōTERRA through social media, news, email, and other channels will ensure that you don’t miss any new developments, helpful announcements, or other resources that may come available to you. When you make a habit of keeping up with dōTERRA, you’ll always be up to date on any new resources or information that might be beneficial for you or your team. Second, it is important to continually educate yourself about dōTERRA, the dōTERRA business, dōTERRA products, and more. A large portion of the resources that dōTERRA provides are designed to educate people about essential oils. As Wellness Advocates, it is our responsibility to teach others about the benefits of essential oils—obviously this is only possible if we are educated about essential oils ourselves. Whether you are brand new to essential oils, or feel fairly familiar with them, there is always something new to learn in the world of dōTERRA. Lastly, it is important to find the best ways to share dōTERRA resources with your team and those who buy essential oils from you. It may take a while to discover the most effective channels for sharing, but with a little experimentation, you can find the best way to share information, resources, and news with others as you build your dōTERRA business.

dōTERRA® Blogs dōTERRA Product Blog: doterra.com/US/en/blog- products dōTERRA Science Blog: doterra.com/US/en/blog- science dōTERRA Business Blog: doterra.com/US/en/blog- business Now I would like to discuss some dōTERRA resources that I think will be helpful to anyone trying to build a successful dōTERRA business. First, I want to talk about three blogs that can be found on doterra.com. Product Blog: The dōTERRA product blog is a wonderful resource that provides endless ideas for essential oil usage. This blog is full of fun essential oil DIYs with tutorials for things like do-it-yourself air fresheners, cleaning spray, sugar scrubs and mud masks for skin, essential oils crafts, gifts, and more. In addition to easy DIYs that you can do at home, the dōTERRA Product blog also features unique essential oil recipes, and even has printable recipe cards. These recipes are great for personal use, and so easy to share with others. If you are interested in learning more about dōTERRA products and how to use them, check out the Product Spotlight section of the product blog, where you’ll find lengthy descriptions of products, ideas for how to use them, and helpful background information that can enhance your essential oil experience. Science Blog: Another useful blog for Wellness Advocates is the dōTERRA Science blog. It isn’t always easy to explain the science behind essential oils, but as Wellness Advocates, we often get questions about how essential oils work, how we know that they are safe, and the effect they have on the human body. If you are interested in the scientific background of essential oils, or find that you get a lot of scientific questions, the dōTERRA Science blog constantly provides new information about essential oils and research, new studies, essential oils and their safety, essential oils and weight loss, and more. Business Blog: A very helpful resource for Wellness Advocates, the dōTERRA business blog will keep you up to date on everything you need to know as a Wellness Advocate, and offers useful advice for anyone trying to build a dōTERRA business. The business blog includes posts about events (upcoming dōTERRA events, and advice for holding your own), ideas for classes, advice for building your business and managing your team, words of wisdom from other Wellness Advocates, and more. If you are a dōTERRA Wellness Advocate, you should be frequently checking the dōTERRA business blog for tips and ideas. If you have benefitted from the information on any of these blogs, provide a personal experience for the audience. You could tell of a DIY you’ve done, a recipe you’ve made, an interesting article from the science blog, or anything else that has helped you as a Wellness Advocate.

dōTERRA® Magazines Living Magazine Leadership Magazine Another way to keep up with and absorb dōTERRA information is through their two magazine publications—the dōTERRA Living Magazine, and the dōTERRA Leadership Magazine. Living magazine: The Living magazine is a quarterly publication that features all kinds of useful, inspiring, and educational information about dōTERRA as a company, products, leaders, sourcing, essential oils, and more. Full of in-depth articles and useful information, this is a great magazine to subscribe to and a wonderful tool to share with others when introducing them to dōTERRA. Issues of the Living magazine are released in March, June, September, and December, and can be ordered in the dōTERRA back office. Active Wellness Advocates who are manager or above who have placed at least one order within the last 90 days of the magazine launch are eligible to receive the Living magazine for free with their regular order. New Wellness Advocates who enrolled within 90 days of the magazine launch are also eligible to receive it for free. If you want extra copies of a magazine to share, you can always order a 10-pack in the doTERRA back office. Leadership magazine: The Leadership magazine comes out once every two months, and features interviews and stories from dōTERRA Wellness Advocates who have reached Diamond rank. Whether you are on the journey to Diamond, or just getting started, this is a wonderful resource where you will find helpful advice from Wellness Advocates who have gone through some of the same challenges and experiences that you may go through as you build your dōTERRA business. For top-notch advice and bi-monthly inspiration, look to the dōTERRA Leadership magazine as a useful resource during your dōTERRA journey. The magazine also features a “recognition” section in the back with the names and pictures of Wellness Advocates, Gold and above, who have reached their rank two times in six months. The magazine can be purchased for $2.00 with any regular order, and a digital copy of the magazine can be found on doterra.com. If you are wondering what it takes to be featured, the magazine includes interviews with new Diamonds and Presidential Diamonds who have reached their rank three times in 12 months. If possible, bring a copy of the Living and Leadership magazines to display to the audience. You can also pass copies of the magazines around so that audience members can see what they look like inside. *both are available online and in print (online: doterra.com/US/en/brochures-magazines)

Product Information Pages Perhaps one of the greatest resources available to dōTERRA Wellness Advocates is the collection of product information pages created by dōTERRA that can help anyone learn about doTERRA products. Each dōTERRA product has its own product information page (sometimes called a PIP) that can be accessed on doterra.com. These product pages provide detailed information about an essential oil, its plant part, how it is produced, uses and benefits of the oil, any special instructions or cautions, and more. You can find the product information page for any dōTERRA product by searching the name of the product in the “search” bar on doterra.com. Each of these pages also includes a link to a PDF version of the PIP, which makes it easy to share, or to keep information about specific oils on hand. If you ever have questions about a product, the product information page is usually the best place to start. Give an example of a time that a product information page was useful to you, or give an example of a circumstance in which Wellness Advocates could use a product information page.

Brochures Living, Sharing, Building dōTERRA® Naturally Welcome to dōTERRA® Product Guide Class in a Box Holiday Guide dōTERRA Emotional Aromatherapy™ Essential Skin Care HD Clear® Lifelong Vitality Program Slim & Sassy® Verage™ Skin Care Collection dōTERRA® SPA Another useful resource for Wellness Advocates, especially when you want to learn about a dōTERRA product or program, is the use of brochures. Available both digitally and in print, dōTERRA has provided brochures about everything from the ingredients in the Verage Skin Care line, to how you can lose weight with Slim & Sassy. Not only are these brochures a great way to learn about dōTERRA products and programs, but they make it easy to share information with others. Give an example of a brochure that has been helpful to you, or a time when you passed along a dōTERRA brochure to help someone learn more about the company or a particular product.

Forms and Flyers When you are a Wellness Advocate, there are so many things to keep track of and so much to do. dōTERRA has made our lives a little easier by providing forms and flyers that not only save time, but can help us to quickly and effectively share information. When you are teaching a class, holding an event, or taking a one-on-one meeting with someone, there are countless dōTERRA flyers that make it easy to provide someone with information about dōTERRA, essential oils, dōTERRA products and programs, and more. These flyers are available digitally and in PDF form on doterra.com. This way, you don’t have to spend time creating a flyer for your class or meeting—all you need to do is print and share! doterra.com also has all the forms that you’ll need at one point or another during your dōTERRA journey. The “Forms” section of doterra.com is where you will find important paperwork like a Wellness Advocate Agreement, an Event Submission Form, Account Information Change Form, etc, etc.

Videos, Images, and Presentations In today’s world, high quality images, videos, and presentations go a long way. Whether you want to make a presentation to a large group, or share a video with your neighbor, dōTERRA has tried to make it as simple as possible to share dōTERRA-related media. You can find videos on dōTERRA YouTube channel, but there is also a “Videos” section on doterra.com where you’ll find helpful videos about Co-Impact Sourcing®, product tips, dōTERRA events, and more. There is also an “Images” section on the website where you’ll find high-resolution images of nearly every dōTERRA product. These will come in handy as you share essential oils with others—especially because it will mean you don’t have to worry about blurry or pixelated images. Lastly, dōTERRA offers a variety of presentations that take a lot of the work and stress out of preparing for an event or meeting where you’ll be talking about essential oils. Not only is the “Presentations” section of doterra.com useful for sharing essential oils, but you’ll also probably learn a thing or two yourself!

Q&A Pages These pages can answer questions about the following: -Programs like Free to Give, Shipping Rewards, and Loyalty Rewards -Products like supplements and skin care collections -Wellness Advocate matters like the message center, becoming a Wellness Advocate, direct deposit, etc. While dōTERRA provides excellent support through phone and email for Wellness Advocates who have questions, the updated doterra.com now includes Q&A pages that cover questions that Wellness Advocates are bound to have at some point. Whether your question is simple or complex, the “Q&A” section of doterra.com is designed for Wellness Advocates like us who frequently have questions and tend to get a lot of questions about dōTERRA from friends, family, and other Wellness Advocates. If you have a question, try checking the Q&A section before calling or emailing a dōTERRA representative.

Source to You Growers Distillers Scientists Practitioners You sourcetoyou.com If you are ever curious about how doTERRA produces their essential oils, you can see the process starting at the source, and everything that goes into getting it to you—the customer. doTERRA created Source to You, a website that can be accessed from the main doterra.com site, to help people understand the process of producing high quality essential oils. Starting with growers and distillers, the website will walk you through every step of the process, including the thorough testing done by scientists, and use of oils by practitioners. This is a great resource to share with those who might be curious about how dōTERRA produces their oils. If you ever get questions about the production process, growing and harvesting, distilling, the Co-Impact Sourcing® initiatives, or anything else, Source to You will help anyone understand the details behind essential oil production. This interactive website is the perfect way to teach others (and educate yourself) about how an essential oil gets from a plant to the bottle.

dōTERRA® Social Media Perhaps the quickest, most efficient way to keep up with goings-on at dōTERRA is to follow their social media accounts across several platforms. dōTERRA posts updates across all their platforms weekly and sometimes daily, so it is easy to keep up with things like promotions, product releases, events, and other announcements by following their social media accounts. While dōTERRA has social media accounts for other countries, you can find any of the US accounts at the bottom of the page on doterra.com/US/en Instagram: Not only is the dōTERRA Instagram feed inspiring and aesthetically pleasing, but you’ll find all kinds of helpful tips, fun contests, and monthly promotions when you follow this account. Facebook: The dōTERRA International Facebook page provides updates nearly every day that will keep you up to date on all things dōTERRA. Like Instagram, you’ll find fun recipes, DIYs, and product tips, as well as helpful information about events, promotions, or other relevant topics. You can also follow the doTERRA Business page on Facebook for advice, new blog posts, and important announcements for Wellness Advocates. Twitter: Complete with promos, announcements, and dōTERRA news, the dōTERRA Twitter feed will also provide inspiration and tips for those who prefer this social media platform. Pinterest: For those of you who love creating Pinterest boards, saving recipes, and trying new DIYs, doTERRA’s Pinterest page is the perfect place to get fresh essential oil ideas when you need them. If you are struggling with ideas for a class, ways to share essential oils, or want DIYs and recipes you can recommend to your friends, make sure to check out dōTERRA on Pinterest. Tell the audience about which doTERRA social media accounts you like to follow and why.

Hootsuite Using the Amplify app Questions: amplify@doterra.com In addition to following all of dōTERRA’s official social media accounts, it is important that we as Wellness Advocates promote dōTERRA on our own social media platforms. To help with this, dōTERRA has partnered with Hootsuite, a social media management company, to make the social media experience much easier for Wellness Advocates. Using Amplify, an app created by Hootsuite, dōTERRA Wellness Advocates will have access to unique social media posts that can be used on their personal social media accounts. A Wellness Advocate pays $14.99 for a yearly subscription, which gives them access to the app. New content is added to the app every week, so Wellness Advocates can keep their social media accounts up to date with fresh, interesting content about dōTERRA and essential oils. As Wellness Advocates, we know how difficult it can be to keep our social media accounts updated and interesting, which is why the Amplify app is so helpful—it takes a lot of the time and work out of creating interesting content for our followers, and allows us to post effective content every week.

Diamond Club doterradiamondclub.com For those of you who have dreams of one day reaching Diamond, you may have heard about Diamond Club. If you haven’t heard of Diamond Club, it is an intensive program that dōTERRA has created to help Wellness Advocates reach their goal of Diamond Rank. The point of Diamond Club is to help Wellness Advocates generate new business by holding events, particularly by building leadership and team support outside of their local areas. Whether you are just starting out as a Wellness Advocate, or feel like you are finally ready to get to the next level, the Diamond Club website, doterradiamondclub.com, will provide you with all the information you need about the program. First, take a look at the qualifications and monthly requirements so that you know what it takes to be a part of the program. From there, you can watch videos where you’ll get advice from real Wellness Advocates who have gone through Diamond Club and achieved Diamond. This website has all the information you will need about how the program works, frequently asked questions, potential prizes you can win, how to get started, and more. If you have ever thought about Diamond Club, this is a great place to start your journey. If you are still in the beginning stages as a Wellness Advocate, keep this website in mind for the future. If you have participated in Diamond Club, or know Wellness Advocates who have, take time to share with the audience why this program is beneficial, or how the website can help them get started.

Questions? Now is a good time to ask the audience if they have any questions. You will also want to give them your contact information, and any important information about ordering doTERRA products from you, or joining your doTERRA team.
