Institutions: Definition, Measurement and Effect on Growth Effect of Institutions on Growth (Acemoglu, Johnson and Robinson, 2005). Institutions as a Fundamental Cause of Log-Run Growth. What are the main arguments made by the paper? What kinds of evidence do the writers offer to support the main arguments? How according to the authors do differences in institutions explain differences in income? (Briefly) Why do different countries choose different institutions.
