USAID Global Education Summit On August 6-8, 2013, the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) hosted a Global Education Summit in Washington, D.C.  Focused on achievement of USAID’s Education Strategy and Millennium Development Goal 2: Universal Primary Education.   Reviewed "state of the field" approaches and "state of the art" best practices in improving education in the developing world.

USAID Education is working to improve the reading skills of 100 million children, improve the quality of higher education and workforce development programs, and expand access to education in crisis & conflict environments to 15 million children.
