to Help Meet Interoperability Standards for the : Proposal to EyeMD to Help Meet Interoperability Standards for the 21st Century Cures Act

21st Century Cures Act In December of 2016, the 21st Century Cures Act was passed into law There are important issues for solution providers operating in the EHR space, specifically related to interoperability

21st Century Cures Act (cont.) The Bill Specifically Defines Interoperability as: Enables the secure exchange of electronic health information with, and use of electronic health information from, other health information technology without special effort on the part of the user Allows for complete access, exchange, and use of all electronically accessible health information for authorized use under applicable State or Federal law Does not constitute information blocking as defined in section 3022(a).

21st Century Cures Act (cont.) Prohibited Practices That Could Subject Technology Developers/ Providers to Civil Monetary Penalties: implementing Health Information Technology (“HIT”) in ways that are likely to restrict the access, exchange, or use of electronic health information with respect to exporting complete information sets or in transitioning between HIT systems implementing HIT in nonstandard ways that are likely to substantially increase the complexity or burden of accessing, exchanging, or using electronic health information

21st Century Cures Act (cont.) Penalties for Not Complying with the Law: Potentially lose one’s EHR certification if vendor system is not seen as interoperable Vendors seen as engaging in information blocking risk facing up to a $1 million fine per violation.

About PilotFish Applied PilotFish Healthcare Integration, is uniquely suited to assist you in making your systems interoperable: We are an integration engine provider that enables the integration of “anything to anything” (as long as “anything” can be identified)   Our primary focus is on solution providers that bundle our software with their device, equipment, application or service to (almost instantly) make it interop-capable  PilotFish interfaces or APIs into the EMR provider’s system can be published, enabling third parties to securely integrate with it in a fraction of the time it would otherwise require

The PilotFish Solution Interface Engine Healthcare Providers EMR System

Why the PilotFish Interface Engine? The only interface engine that features a graphical “Automated Interface Assembly Line” for the ability to: Configure interfaces visually without any coding or scripting Use automated features and components that dramatically speed up interface configuration Utilize non-developers to do 80-90% of the interfacing work Highly leverage interface reuse to speed up interface configuration

Why the PilotFish Interface Engine? Graphically Configure Interfaces to Integrate Anything to Anything

Benefits of PilotFish for EyeMD Quickly achieve the compliance standards you need to meet the requirements of the 21st Century Cures Act Enable the fast implementation of secure interfaces with any of our prospective customers Enable the fast implementation of any other entity in the healthcare system that has a valid and justified reason to do so Gain a significant competitive advantage when it comes to the added value of offering healthcare interoperability
