Common Ground All subject areas have two key areas: Knowledge Applying All exams ask students to Apply their Knowledge

Learning intentions Knowledge: Recall the 11 components of fitness State the meaning of each component of fitness (definitions) Application: Apply sporting examples to each component of fitness Relate own experiences to components of fitness (when do you use flexibility…..) Demonstrate how sporting examples use the component of fitness

Knowledge: Label each picture with the relevant components of fitness specific to the sport Application: Apply your knowledge of how each component of fitness is relevant to each sport. Example: Reaction time is used in rowing, when the rowers react to the starters gun to start the race. This is important because……..
