Sixth Form Information AS Level Computing Changes to Computing A Level Exams taking place at the end of the qualification (linear). AS & A Level are separate courses. Greater emphasis on knowledge & content. Reduction in coursework (A Level, NEA 40% to 20%) No resits to be taken. Sixth Form Information AS Level Computing Paper 1: This paper tests a student's ability to program, as well as their theoretical knowledge of computer science On screen Exam (1hr 30 mins) 50% AS Qualification Linear assessment Students answer a series of short questions and write/adapt/extend programs in an electronic answer document provided by us.
