ArcGIS Pro Overview June 2017

What is ArcGIS Pro ArcGIS Pro is the newest product available with ArcGIS Desktop Collection of products. 2D and 3D mapping Easily store and share data and maps on ArcGIS Online Import ArcMap, ArcScene and ArcGlobe documents. Concurrent and Single use licenses, or named user license through ArcGIS Online.

Before you Install: Make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements. https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/get-started/arcgis-pro-system- requirements.htm Named User License, Concurrent or Single Use? Personal computers = Single Use Contact ASGibson2@bsu.edu for single use license. BSU public access computers = Concurrent Use Server name: LIBGIS

Before you install…. Regardless of how you license your ArcGIS Pro software, in order to save and share your data and maps between the cloud and ArcGIS Pro you must have an ESRI ArcGIS Online account. Where to Find the Software Install Files: Map a network drive to \\libgis\installs\ArcGISPro_1.4 (see video below)

Installation Install the program Click on ArcGISPro.msi to begin install (see video )

Licensing Options ArcGIS Pro can be licenses 3 different ways: Concurrent License – best for office workstations. License manager = libgis Single Use License – best for laptops Obtain license from site license coordinator Log in using ArcGIS Online – only for members of the Ball State ArcGIS Online group. Allows for importing and creating ArcGIS Online content.
