Peachtree Tips Chapter 18 uses data from the Exercise 6-2.ptb backup file. If you no longer have your back up from Exercise 6-2, use starting data for Bellwether Garden Supply. If necessary, refer to Appendix A, Installing Starting Data for the Sample Companies, page 702. Peachtree integrates with the Microsoft Word to edit and create custom templates, and generate mailings using selected Peachtree information. Peachtree’s program path includes the letter templates: C:\Program Files\Sage Software\Peachtree\Company \Letters. Extract the PAWMail.Zip folder. The Customer, Employee, and Vendor letter templates are .doc files. 18-4

Create a Mailing to Customers, pp. 650-652 The write letters feature allows you to send information to a large number of people quickly. You can create mailings such as newsletters, announcements and other types of mailings. Peachtree integrates with the Microsoft Word Mail Merge feature. 18-8

Create a Mailing to Customers, page 650 From the Tasks menu, select Write Letters; Customer Letters. The Select a Report or Form window appears. If necessary, make the selections shown. 18-9

Create a Mailing to Customers, page 651 Click . The Write Letters - Bellwether Sales Special Select Recipients window appears. Observe that you can select Word or E-Mail. Click . Wait a few moments for the first customer letter to appear. Observe that the taskbar shows Page 1 of 33– . This means there are 33 customer letters.
