Welcome to Sixth Grade! Knowsys Vocabulary Homework Checkout My Website!        Homework Expect homework regularly. You can check my class calendar on my website for due dates. While homework varies between grammar, writing, reading, and projects, you can rely on studying vocabulary every night (see the “Knowsys Vocabulary” section.) Many homework assignments require a computer and internet access. Read 30+ minutes every night. Your child will receive vocabulary instruction through the Knowsys Level 6 program. We learn one group each week. Every Thursday, a pre-quiz is given for that week’s group. If a 100% is earned, then the student is exempt from the Friday quiz. A Summative test is given after every 5 groups. Study words nightly! Knowsys Level 6 Study Cards are available for purchase on Amazon.com ~OR~ Knowsys Level 6 App for purchase on iTunes App Store. Summer Reading All students are required to complete a Summer Reading Project. Students select a book from the Lone Star Reading List and complete a project for that novel. If it doesn't, you will need to print the first slide by itself and then re-insert the paper into the printer upside down to print the second slide on the opposite side of the paper.
