Sneak-Peek Events Some schools have a special event in August where parents get an early chance to see the school, meet teachers, and get ready for the school year. Find out WHEN and ask for PERMISSION to be there! Ask if you can set up a tent or display area. Be prepared to give out fliers, stickers, bracelets. Ask current Cub Scouts to help as recruiters. GOAL: Awareness
School Night Arrange to have a table at your local elementary school on the night(s) when parents and children come in to meet the teachers. You do not need a Rec & Parks school use form. Just get permission from the principal/staff. Ask current Cub Scouts to come in uniform and show off their Scouting pride! GOALS INVITE people to visit your Pack for a “Join Scouting” event. Join Scouting Night Official sign-up night for Pack (or Troop) PLAN and PREPARE. Who is helping you? Who is bringing materials? Who is planning activities for the kids? If you aren’t organized, FAKE IT. Distribute the “New Member Packets”. Set up a “Sports-style” signup process. GOAL: Completed and paid youth applications

Rocket into Scouting Membership incentive program New Cub Scouts get a free rocket kit upon joining. When they turn in an application and payment Packs can make rocket building an early activity. Scouts are invited to register for Adventure Day.
