Organizing the Body Paragraphs of Your “Flowers for Algernon” TDA Option 2: Authors develop characters (characterization) to become shining examples of a theme in action. -Consider how Daniel Keyes and Don Marquis develop characters within their works that serve as examples of the theme. -Structure 2-3 body paragraphs, each about the author’s development of a different character; OR consider 2-3 character traits the two authors develop in their characters. Tips for Success -Scan through your InterActive Reader looking for any notes or margin questions about characters and their traits and actions. -Consider how their character traits and actions help develop the theme you picked. -Scan through your Study Questions and Group Quote Analysis Packet for any helpful information on characterization of individuals in the poem and in the story.
