Outline: Overview of RFID How RFID can be used What is IOT and Cloud Computing Working Functionality of Model Advantages Comparison with Other Techniques Conclusion

What is RFID? RFID = Radio Frequency Identification. An ADC (Automated Data Collection) technology that: uses radio-frequency waves to transfer data between a reader and a movable item to identify, categorize, track.. Is fast and does not require physical sight or contact between reader/scanner and the tagged item. Performs the operation using low cost components. Attempts to provide unique identification and backend integration that allows for wide range of applications.

RFID system components

RFID tags: Smart labels A paper label with RFID inside an antenna, printed, etched or stamped ... … and a chip attached to it … on a substrate e.g. a plastic foil ...

The Internet of Things:

This shows how IOT and cloud is connected with the Sensors Continue. . . This shows how IOT and cloud is connected with the Sensors

Enters, his details will be stored. First Phase of System: When student Enters, his details will be stored.

Second Phase of System: In the second phase we are using the camera in classroom whose storage is cloud. Here we are taking a frame from the continuous set of frame. We already have the database of Students which contains images and registration no of each student.

It will Capture the Image

Captured Image Database Found Comparison of Images DATABASE

DB RFID Data If both the data present then only attendance will be marked as Present.

Advantages: This system has lots of advantages like We are saving lots of time as compare to Bio-metric system. No need to worry about manual attendance. It will automatically upload the attendance of every student to their Login (In VIT Contrast). Its Compulsory for student to bring the VIT ID’s.

Comparison with Other Techniques: In Finger Print Technique (Bio-Metric): For our University we can consider three scenarios We can put it Outside or Inside the Class. We are fixing it inside the class and Professor came and swipe the card, then students giving the attendance. Professor carries the Bio-Metric machine. So that after using the technologies we have to do the work manually. Then the question is what it did ?

Conclusion cum Costing: We uses eSSL Bio-Metric machine Cost of One Machine is 9000 Rs (On Amazon) Now Suppose we have 10 branches of M.Tech and 20 batches(60 Student in each). So for that we need minimum 10 Machine = 90K Rs Now in our system we need RFID reader which cost 500 Rs. For 10 Classroom it will cost = 5K Rs We have lots of techniques for Image Comparison to implement. If we are not going to implement and buying it from vendor then approximate it will cost us 20K to 30K Rs. I am Assuming 10K
