Christmas Day

The Gospel of Luke tells us – “When the angels had left them and gone to heaven, the shepherds said to one another, ‘Let us go now to Bethlehem and see this thing that has taken place, which the Lord has made known to us.’ So they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Child lying in the manger.” Reader 1: The Gospel of Luke tells us – “When the angels had left them and gone to heaven, the shepherds said to one another, “Let us go now to Bethlehem and see this thing that has taken place, which the Lord has made known to us.” So they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the Child lying in the manger.”

Luke also says, “When they saw, they made known what had been told them about the child; and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds told them.” Tonight we light the Christ Candle - for we too, like the shepherds and those they met, are amazed by this story. Reader 2: Luke also says, “When they saw, they made known what had been told them about the child; and all who heard it were amazed at what the shepherds told them.” Tonight we light the Christ Candle-for we too, like the shepherds and those they met, are amazed by this story.
