Unit 2 Task 1 By Matei Turcu

•Zed studios asked me to plan and produce a short film titled “The Devil’s playground”, which has to enforce the message of safety of teenagers around strangers. The film must be between 5 and 7 minutes, and the target audience must be 14-16 year olds from the East London area, because this is the area that we live in, and we are the same age as them, so we can make a movie that will suit them and that will make them like it. The teenagers are the primary audience, and the parents or young adults would be secondary audience, because they would go with their kids to see the movie, or they will find it on internet e.g. on YouTube or Facebook

•The purpose of the product is to make teenagers aware of safety around strangers, to inform them that some strangers can do bad stuff to them and they have to be careful when talking or hanging out with someone that you don’t know. Even if east London is one of the safest places in London, teenagers still have to be careful around strangers, because you never know what is going through someone’s mind. •”Stranger danger” is an idea created by Americans to tell their children that strangers are dangerous, even for adults.

Because it is an short film, it will not be distributed on DVD, CD or Blu- ray because teenagers are not gonna buy them, because they have better things to spend their money on than a 5-7 minutes movie, which they don’t even know that they will like it or not. The movie will be presented at the cinema before the actual movie, because in the Halloween night a lot of teenagers will go and see a movie, and that is the perfect time for my movie to be presented. They will not pay extra money to see the movie, and then if they like it they will search it to see it again or show to their friends, which will make the movie more popular. Another platform the movie will be presented on is digital platform. I will upload the video on YouTube, Facebook and I will online stream it because teenagers are always on their phones and it is more likely that they will find it and see it there.
