What is a Mission Statement and why do people write them? Mission Is Possible What is a Mission Statement and why do people write them?

What is a mission statement? Mission statements are the words leaders use to explain an organization's purpose and direction. When expressed clearly and remains short and sweet, they can motivate each team, or the organization as a whole, with an inspiring vision of the future.

What about Rocky’s Mission? Mission: A learning environment dedicated to high expectations and success for all students. Critique our own Mission Statement and write something you like about it and something you dislike about it.

Helpful Hints and Advice… Some people will start every sentence the same way, with I will, or I do, or I believe. Some will mention specific aspects of their lives, such work, or family, or friends, and others will use statements that apply to almost all situations. You should use only positive wording and phrasing, such as..."always take responsibility," or "express my emotions constructively." You should focus on what you do want instead of what you do not want…find positive alternatives to any negative statements! It's up to you.!!!!

I will contribute to my family by offering support I will contribute to my family by offering support. I want to contribute to society through a charity organization. I will raise my children to embrace other cultures and not fear differences in people. I believe in treating others with kindness. I do not make excuses for myself. I will be humble and serve others.

I will look for strengths in others, and the good in every situation I will look for strengths in others, and the good in every situation. I will ensure that I do what I can to create a learning environment everywhere I go. I will live with an attitude of gratitude. I will repay every kindness shown to me. I will live, work, and play with renewed spirit.
