Let’s Talk Purpose:© bouncing back after financial adversity Sharnikya Howard, Purpose Coach Life Abundantly Coaching

We can view financial adversity AS: THE END OF THE WORLD AN OPPORTUNITY TO RESET AND REDEFINE OUR WHY Sharnikya Howard, Purpose Coach www.lifeabundantlycoaching.com info@lifeabundantlycoaching.com t: (240)545-5179 "Life truly starts the moment you identify your purpose.”

Defining Purpose (Our why) Purpose: the reason for which something is done or created or for which something exists Purpose: the aim or goal of a person : what a person is trying to do, become, etc. Sharnikya Howard, Purpose Coach www.lifeabundantlycoaching.com info@lifeabundantlycoaching.com t: (240)545-5179 "Life truly starts the moment you identify your purpose.”

Understanding your purpose Prayer Exploration Patience How do we identify our gifts? How do we avoid taking our gifts for granted? Sharnikya Howard, Purpose Coach www.lifeabundantlycoaching.com info@lifeabundantlycoaching.com t: (240)545-5179 "Life truly starts the moment you identify your purpose.”

Purpose: The five questions: What are my gifts and talents? What do you naturally do well? What do you do so well you could teach others? What do other people say you’re good at? What do others ask you for help with? What makes you feel good? What one thing or things have you done that make you feel really good? What things warm your heart? What makes you smile? What would you regret not fully doing, being, or having in life? What cause or causes stir up something in you? What issues do you hear of and immediately want to get involved? What thing or things disturb you if done incorrectly? What groups of people do you want to support? Sharnikya Howard, Purpose Coach www.lifeabundantlycoaching.com info@lifeabundantlycoaching.com t: (240)545-5179 "Life truly starts the moment you identify your purpose.”

Setting goals and remaining accountable Sharnikya Howard, Purpose Coach www.lifeabundantlycoaching.com info@lifeabundantlycoaching.com t: (240)545-5179 "Life truly starts the moment you identify your purpose.”

Setting goals: Start with why. What is your goal and the reason for wanting to achieve it? Intrinsic vs Extrinsic Motivation/Why Poor reasons for setting goals: More Money- Hitting a financial target will not make you happy To show off Need a bigger house/ new car etc. Great Reasons For Setting Goals I want to leave a legacy I want to set a great example for my children I want to be able to leave my 9 to 5 job to spend more time with my family I want to align with my own core values Sharnikya Howard, Purpose Coach www.lifeabundantlycoaching.com info@lifeabundantlycoaching.com t: (240)545-5179 "Life truly starts the moment you identify your purpose.”

Setting goals that stick Identify the goal (Financial, Personal, etc.) Break it down into smaller chunks [Purpose Driven Increments] These are smaller more manageable chunks Identify who can help and what would get in the way– Focus on the resources that are available currently, the resources that need to be secured, and identifying any potential obstacles Accountability – List the action items, assign due dates, and identify accountability partners (people that you trust and respect) Celebrate the wins/accomplishments along the way Sharnikya Howard, Purpose Coach www.lifeabundantlycoaching.com info@lifeabundantlycoaching.com t: (240)545-5179 "Life truly starts the moment you identify your purpose.”

Walking boldly: Your personal mission statement A personal mission consists of 3 parts: What do I want to do? Who do I want to help? What is the result? What value will I create? Sharnikya Howard, Purpose Coach www.lifeabundantlycoaching.com info@lifeabundantlycoaching.com t: (240)545-5179 "Life truly starts the moment you identify your purpose.”
