(Author’s purpose) -Have they identified the proper device? -Have they defined the device? -Do they have at least 2-3 sentences of background information? -Does their analysis tie to the meaning of the play as a whole? -Do they have a concluding sentence that ties back to the claim? Grammatical Issues.
