What’s WikiVOIS? WikiVOIS is a free online resource of values, outcomes and indicators for stakeholders. It can be found at www.wikivois.org The database is suitable for any individual or organisation who is interested in the outcomes of their work, and the ways in which outcomes can be valued and measured. We understand that data isn’t everyone’s cup of tea so we’re hoping that WikiVOIS will make it easier to understand!

What’s Wiki VOIS? WikiVOIS uses the same software as Wikipedia. Contains Wiki articles of outcome, indicator and valuation data . Data can be submitted and discussed by anyone or edited by those with membership access. Its purpose is to give proven results to stakeholders, investors and organisations.

What’s our vision? To allow organisations the chance to access vital data on the outcomes of their (and others’) work and view how it is measured and valued. To develop more commonality for the use of values. To change the perception that data as only legitimately produced by third party experts. To make existing approaches to data more accessible and understandable.

So who benefits? All those whose outcomes and values are not recognised. All those seeking to improve their access to commonly used outcomes/indicators/valuations. These can include the academic community, third and voluntary sector organisations and practitioners and deliverers of any kind.

So what’s next for WikiVOIS? Usability analysis to ensure that users are getting the most from the database. Website re-development. To create a community ripe with data discussion. More data added!

Getting started You can browse data via the ‘Stakeholder’ option or through ‘Outcome Domains’. There are 13 Outcome Domains, which are categories, such as Crime and Safety that have all relevant outcomes listed within it. Tabular lists with all outcomes, indicators and valuations are available. There is also a ‘keyword’ search function.
