The students filled their pompom jar today. We will celebrate on Monday. Today was the first day of Growing Up Wild. The focus of the lesson was ants! Next week we will write about what we learned as well as make pictures. This week we started our intervention block. If you have any questions about this block, please contact me. Next week is Rainbow Lunch Week to promote healthy eating. There will be a special “colored” lunch each day. First graders have been assigned to wear orange on Tuesday. Have a fantastic weekend!! Sharing Theme: an object from nature What we are Learning! Reading We learned how to read from our book boxes independently and with a partner. We reviewed the +1, making 10 and teen addition strategies, counted forward by 1s, and wrote numbers 0-30. We reviewed letters and letter sounds. We reviewed trick words. We made posters about ourselves and described our paintings. We discovered different ways you can be smart (music, art, nature, body, logic, words, people, and self). We also studied ants.
