Presentation transcript:

February What’s the Buzz in First Grade February 6, 2017 LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! Each and every day we are surrounded by God’s gracious love. Each and every day in First Grade we try to exemplify His love to others. That isn’t always easy to do, but we know that the Holy Spirit will help and guide us. We also know that when we fail to share God’s love with others and sin against them, God is ready to forgive us when we repent to Him and the one that we sinned against. Repenting and asking for forgiveness from others and God is not always easy but it is necessary. We work on this each and every day in First Grade too. It makes our hearts feel happy! Valentine’s Day Party The first graders will celebrate Valentine’s Day on Tuesday, Feb. 14th by sharing cards with their classmates. Theses cards may be purchased or home-made. If your child brings cards to share, they must have cards for all the first graders. Please use this activity as a time for your child to practice neat penmanship by addressing and signing their cards. Grandparent’s Day We are so excited to invite grand-parents to visit first grade. This exciting morning will be Thursday, February 16th. Information has come home from the school office regarding this special day and more will be coming. If your child’s grandparent or grandparents are not able to attend, another special friend can always step in for them. Our special guests will get to experience first grade once again. Parent-Teacher Conferences March 2nd and 3rd will be the dates for second semester conferences. I look forward to meeting with you and sharing insight into your first grader’s progress. Please be watching for future information from Mrs. Landon regarding sign-up procedures.
