Hacking Health St. John’s EVENTS TO DATE: September 27th Café at the Faculty of Medicine, MUN – Over 100 people attended the HHSJ Introduction & Challenges Brainstorm October 26th Café at CNA – Over 60 people heard from speakers Ron Johnson & Meshari Alwashmi, and participated in an Ideation Brainstorm November 29th Café at the Faculty of Medicine, MUN – Over 70 people participated in a Ideation Workshop Hacking Health St. John’s UPCOMING EVENTS: February 16th Café at the Faculty of Medicine, MUN – Ideation Workshop and Hackathon Introduction Sessions on Pitching & Lean Startup Methodology for Hackathon participants Hackathon – March 31st to April 2nd

HHSJ Hackathon WEEKEND HACKATHONS: March 31-April 2 Over 48 hours, designers, developers, project managers and patients collaborate with doctors, nurses, hospital administrators to rapidly develop digital & mobile health solutions as well as and some viable businesses. It all starts with project leaders pitching their ideas to the group, and then teams form – developers and patients are free to join whatever projects catch their interest. Then it’s a two-day mad dash to the finish line as teams work furiously to design, build, and test working prototype. At the end, everyone presents what they’ve finished and provides a quick demonstration if they’re able. HHSJ Hackathon March 31-April 2 Medical Education Centre, Faculty of Medicine
