Multi state Extension Activities Federal reporting requirement In order to receive Cooperative Extension federal funding, all states are required to project and report on Multi state Extension Activity, defined as: "...collaborative efforts that reflect the programs of institutions located in at least two or more States... Each participating State must be a collaborator towards objectives and involved in the outcomes. “
