Home Base Partnership Team Purpose and Scope of Work

Partnership Aims Work directly with LEAs to support the use of the instructional tools and resources within Home Base Document best practices and lessons learned and share with all districts and charters ----- Meeting Notes (11/11/14 20:59) ----- Documenting Lessons Learned and Best Practices: Log all areas of improvement and success factors learned during the implementation and use of the Home Base Tools.

Sample Data Classroom Assessments This column represents the number of tests completed divided by the total ADM for the LEA. For instance, in Washington County, each student completed 12.05 classroom assessments during the school year

Serving All Districts and Schools Flagship LEAs Emerging LEAs Several factors are taken into account to identify a “Flagship” vs. and “Emerging” LEA for Example: The report you just saw which is the Classroom Assessment created and completed by District The number of resources created and uploaded by the LEAs The number of Benchmark Assessment completed based on the ADM and the number of test that shows us the percentages rather than the raw data numbers. The Work Sharing Best Practices Building Local Networks Providing Support Growing the Instructional Tools ----- Meeting Notes (11/11/14 17:16) ----- We are interested in exploring what the LEAs are doing and doing well. By sharing information across the Regions, The overall goal of Student Success for all of North Carolina become an achieveable goal. What we do as Regional Site Coordinators, we track support issues to make sure that our partner receive the ultimate suport on all the Home Base Tools.

Sharing Best Practices Connect with district and school leadership Learn about and share successful strategies for staffing, training, support and sustainability Learn about and share best practices for use of Home Base in classrooms, schools and districts Work with teachers focused on how Home Base supports instruction ----- Meeting Notes (11/11/14 17:16) ----- The team contacts the District Superintendents and invite them to participate in the partnership. Then we meet with the District's Home Base Team to gather information that will ultimately become lessons learned and best practices. ----- Meeting Notes (11/11/14 20:59) ----- Develop a summary of Home Base Successes and Positive Lessons Learned to be used Statewide.

Building Local Networks Help district staff to connect with others in their regions to form local Home Base teams and/or networks Encourage and facilitate regional collaboration ----- Meeting Notes (11/11/14 20:59) ----- To conduct evaluation of opportunities for improvement and growth,

Providing Support Discover issues that the LEAs are encountering Share known resolutions or training/support materials Work with the Home Base Support Center staff, DPI and Pearson implementation teams toward resolution of any outstanding issues

Growing the Instructional Tools Learn about and share enhancement requests Bring information about content that LEAs would like to see included in Home Base to DPI instructional and assessment content teams The Team participates in Weekly Home Base Update Meeting, Report Development Meeting as well as weekly Team Meetings wherein the Regional Team members share what we learn from the field and at and during Regional Training, and Partnership communications to discuss and share what the LEAs desire from the Home Base Tools.
