IBEST-OUHSC Funding for Interdisciplinary Research The goals of the University of Oklahoma Biomedical Engineering, Science, and Technology (IBEST)-OUHSC Funding for Interdisciplinary Research collaborative project are to: • Promote the integration of engineering principles and innovations with medical and clinical research. • Facilitate the creation of multi-disciplinary clinical-engineering research teams with faculty members from OU-Norman and OUHSC required. • Foster research and exploration of novel ideas, new platforms, and emerging opportunities that will be the foundation of team-based or center proposals in the specified areas. • Build team for larger, multi-disciplinary proposal Four IBEST-OUHSC Interdisciplinary Research projects were funded spring of 2017 at $20,000/project Anticipate another call for grants spring 2018 9

Office of Technology Development Growth Fund Program The goals of the OTD Growth Fund Program are to: Strengthen the commercial potential of disclosed OU innovations Move innovations closer to market Provide funding for: - development of prototypes - additional research results Funding is available up to $75,000 for one year Spring applicants are currently being reviewed There will be another call for applications Fall 2017 10
