Prisoner Transition Voucher Program Housing Assistance Vouchers – Specific for Transitioning Prisoners All other NAHASDA eligibility requirements remain in place Participants must be transitioning from prison (within last six months) Certain number of rental assistance vouchers set aside Must be involved with integrative services Housing and Wrap-around Services

Prisoner Transition Voucher Program Works in the same manner as other rental assistance voucher programs Participants must find a rental unit TDHE will provide voucher for rent to be paid directly to landlord Landlord must sign an agreement Unit subject to inspection by TDHE Housing and Wrap-around Services

Coming directly out of treatment programs for drug and alcohol abuse Would otherwise not be eligible for TDHE housing due to history Provide a minimum of six months in a stable, supportive environment, allow them to develop skills to be self-supporting Housing and Wrap-around Services
