Socio-therapeutic method of preparation for release Sociotherapy = an activity focused on the renewal, improvement, rehabilitation or mitigation of the social status in which the client finds him/herself; it is the elimination of the disturbed balance between the client and his/her surroundings. 2

SOCIOTHERAPY is social-educational action on the client with the objective to reach the reparation of the conditions in the personal life of the client, an activity which helps to mobilise the potential of the client so that he/she is able to effectively cope with his/her life problems, takes into consideration the elements of the broader social environment - people in broader and closer surroundings, it is not just the influencing of the social behaviour of the client but also a whole complex of activities and interventions in the surroundings of the client, it mobilises the individual sources of the client, the sources in his/her surroundings and creates new possibilities for the client. 3

Psychotherapy forms the basics of sociotherapy and the task of the sociotherapist is to connect the various elements of the social system in such a way that they would cooperate mutually and work for a rehabilitation of the disturbed relationships, besides the client all kinds of experts are involved in this cooperative process (doctors, lawyers, psychologist, psychotherapists, sociologists, social workers), whose expertise is necessary according to the nature of the problem situation, 6

Evaluation of sociotherapy The attainment of the main and the partial objectives is evaluated. The methods used for evaluation are: dialogue oral evaluation questionnaire 9

Method and Tool of Sociotherapy The sociotherapist - with his/her ability to support building of a close and intimate relationship. The use of a variety of procedures and techniques used e.g. in the field of psychotherapy, medicine, special/remedial pedagogy or social work. 10

The stages of social therapy: 1. Social registry and the first contact with the client - the acquisition of basic facts either by means of direct contact or by means of others ( institutions and other individuals ) 2. Social diagnostics - finding out the reasons on the basis of which the social problem has arisen by means of an intentional dialogue. The social problem is evaluated by means of a dialogue, observation of the client in the enviroment, judgement and the reports of experts 3. Plan of social therapy - it concerns two sides: a) the exterior side - all objective obstacles in the life of the individual or group, b) the interior side - a lack of strength to overcome the obstacle or adapt to it 11

4. Social therapy - the interaction between the client and the social worker, the basis is the personal contact, way of communication. 5. Termination of the work with the client - the social - educational therapy ends with the solution of the problem, mitigation of a conflict between the client and the society or due to a lack of interest on the part of the client or his/her death. 12

The objective of the method is to provide complete information for the work with the simulation game focused on the development of financial literacy. 14

The used methods Lectures with discussions focused on the transfer of new knowledge, Discussion focused on the presentation of various opinions on individual problems and on the finding out of the opinions and attitudes of the attendees towards various situations, Group work - the solution of case studies - common responsibility for the results, encouragement of cooperative styles of behaviour, minimalisation of communicational blockages. 15

The Profile of the Attendee He/she can make the right decisions to avoid further increase of his/her indebtedness. He/she can practically help in legal proceedings, in the process of execution proceedings and can advise in the process of the application of protective measures in these cases ( objections, appeals, proposals to halt the execution), he/she can also prepare proposals for the iniciation of proceedings or the preventing of a court decision, advise in the necessary procedural steps in the process of insolvency negotiations, etc. 16

The description of the simulation game The simulation game of financial literacy contains: The game set The lector manual Tools (calculators, pens and black paper, game money) Each set ( always contains one theme of the National Standard ) consists of various case studies and those contain various tasks. 17

The game set contains 7 subsets = 7 themes of the National Standard of Financial Literacy. Each set contains game materials and tools which are necessary for the game in the framework of the given theme ( e.g. game cards with case studies, game cards with tasks/questions, note sheets, game letters, game envelopes, etc.) 18
