Arrival We’ll meet our Tour Director Mr. Glyn Jones (from Great Britain) once we have cleared customs and claimed our baggage. We’ll start tour immediately and check in to our hotel until the end of the day. Staying awake throughout our arrival day is the best way to beat jet lag.

Tour Director: Mr Glyn Jones Our dedicated Tour Director will be with us throughout tour to handle logistics and provide suggestions for activities. All Tour Directors are trained to handle any emergencies that could arise on tour. They have 24-hour access to local EF offices, as well as EF’s worldwide and North American headquarters.

Meals: put dietary restrictions on medical form! Icelandic diet is simple and focused on warmth and sustenance. Breakfast typically includes oatmeal, a protein- packed yogurt-cheese called skyr, juice, coffee, and tea. Lunch is on our own. Dinners will be a mix of local cuisine and familiar dishes served as a preset meal for our group, rather than chosen from a menu. Food portions are smaller than they are in the U.S. Table water is included; other beverages will be of additional costs. Please inform us of any allergies/restrictions on your medical form.

Breakfast consists of: Break Bologna sausage cold cut Corn flex   Break Bologna sausage cold cut Corn flex Cracker Cucumber Oatmeal porridge Rye-crisp bread Tomatoes Coffee Butter Oranges Tea Orange marmalade Egg Milk Strawberry jam Buttermilk Orange juice Peanut butter Strawberry porridge Suger Cheese Apple porridge Brown suger Ham Prune porridge Honey Sausage cold cut Musle

Hotels Generally, hotel rooms are smaller than in the U.S. Most hotels will not have air conditioning or elevators. Wi-Fi will not always be available, and when it is there may be a fee. Late check-ins may be necessary. The water/shower in Iceland may smell sulfuric – which is normal and completely safe! Bring an eye mask if you are a light sleeper as Icelandic summers have long hours of sunshine.

Rooming Students are roomed 3-4 per room in a combination of twin and shared double beds. Adults will share twin rooms with other adults.

Global Travel Protection Plan We are all covered with the following EF Insurance plan: Illness and accident Baggage and property Tour cancellation and interruption Flight delay 24-hour access to an English-speaking representative

Spending money ATMs are the best way to get money Don’t bring traveler’s checks Notify your bank or credit card company that you’ll be abroad Bring the equivalent of $50 – 60 in the currency of your arrival destination We are responsible for our lunches and tipping (usually included in meal price) Iceland is an island so things can be expensive due to the cost of importing

Passports & visas All travelers are responsible for securing necessary documentation Valid passports are required for all travelers. Name and gender listed on your EF account must exactly match passport information. Carry a copy of your passport with you and also leave a copy at home. Passports must be valid for 6 months after tour. Non-U.S. citizens may require special visas or other travel documents.
