Relative location A location of a place in relation to another place

Absolute location Describes a location in terms of its fixed point on the earth in longitude and latitude coordinates

Prime Meridian The 0 degree meridian which passes through Greenwich, England

longitude Distance from the Prime Meridian, measured in degrees. Lines are numbered east and west

Equator An imaginary line that divides the earth into Northern and Southern Hemispheres
