4th Grade Back to School Night Class Policies Jupiter- used for grading and communication Healthy Snacks-please do not send sugar! Money- please send in a Ziploc/envelope with name, amount and purpose All medicine should be given to the nurse. Please do not send in with your child. Driving Procedures- (car line, siblings, cell phones) Technology- no cell phone use until off campus Water bottles (ice), sunscreen, hats and sunglasses for recess

Math Homework Typically, students will have homework Monday – Friday. -Homework will NOT be collected on a daily basis. -Students are expected to keep their homework throughout the school year. -Homework checks will be completed at random. (Students need to have past homework assignments with them daily.) When your student gets stuck: Write a question that they could ask that would help them solve the problem? (Cannot ask how to do it) Does the problem remind them of another problem they solved? Can they make it a simpler problem?

Arrival and Dismissal Procedures School begins at 8:00 AM; tardy at 8:05 AM For your child’s safety, no early drop off! Support teachers are not available until 7:45 AM Pickup in back parking lot 3:00 PM (If siblings are K-2, pick up front circle) Wednesday Enrichment 12:00 – 2:00 PM Bring lunch for Enrichment If you pick up a student who normally attends enrichment at noon, please sign them out at the office. If you know in advance your student will not be attending ASE please notify the front office.
