Safety Comes First Helmet is mandatory at all times whilst in contact with your bike. Ride your bike on the left hand side of the road. If you feel that you cannot continue - stop racing immediately. If you stop competing - let an official know as soon as possible.
The Swim The decision on the wetsuit will be announced at 07:00. A beach mass start with a run from the beach. 08:00 Half Distance 09:30 Triathlon & Sprint Leave all buoys to your left. Half Distance – 2 laps (Fig.1) Triathlon – 2 laps (Fig.2) Sprint – 1 lap (Fig.2) Count the laps. fig1 Fig2
The Bike Helmets must be worn before the bike is removed from its position on the racks. The upper body must be covered at all times during the race. Ride your bike on the left hand side of the road. Drafting is not allowed. Half Distance – 5 laps Triathlon – 2 laps Sprint – 1 lap Count the laps.
The Bike Max 20 seconds are allowed to pass through the drafting zone. 12m – Half Distance, 10m Triathlon & Sprint. 100m before and after an aid station, transition area or acute turn Overtaken athlete must move out of the draft zone of the leading athlete within 5 seconds. Penalties: 5min(Half), 2min (Triathlon), 1min (Sprint). 12m 10m

Aid Stations
Aid Stations Bike Aid Station: It is the athlete’s own responsibility to collect the needed energy from the tables in the AID stations. We don’t guarantee volunteers to hand it to you “on the fly”.
Aid Stations Run Aid Stations: There are two aid stations for the Triathlon and Sprint – Run Aid Station 1 & 3 and an additional Aid Station for the Half Distance Aid Station 2.
Transition Area (TA) Cycling in TA is not permitted The TA must be kept tidy at all times. Access only to athletes wearing a race wrist band.
Penalties for Drafting Technical Officials will notify the athletes who draft that they are subject to a time penalty. The athlete sanctioned has to stop in the penalty box and must stay there for a specific time depending on the race distance. One minute for the sprint distance, two minutes for standard distance and five minutes for middle and long distance. It is the athlete’s responsibility to stop in the penalty box. Failing to stop will result in a disqualification. A second drafting offence will lead to a disqualification in standard distance or sprint distance. The third drafting offence will lead to disqualification for middle distance.
General Information The chip is essential for the timing. Wear it on the ankle as shown. In case of a wetsuit the chip must be on top of it. The three helmet stickers go one on the left side, one on the right side and the third one in the front. The bike sticker shall be attached so it is visible from both sides of the bicycle. Fix the bib number on a race belt. Turn on the back for the bike section. Turn in front for the run section. No race belt is provided by the organisers. You have to bring your own.
General information Earphones are prohibited. After the race is finished athletes are allowed to visit the TA briefly in a controlled manner. At recovery area fruits and drinks will be given to the athletes who finish the race. Bike can be picked after the award’s ceremony is finished.
Cutoff times – Only Half Distance Swim: Athletes will have 1:10 to complete the swim. Athletes who take longer than 1:10 to complete the swim will receive a DNF. Bike: 5 hours and 30 minutes after the start. Athletes who take longer than 5:30 to complete the swim and bike will receive a DNF. Run: 8 hours and 30 minutes after the start. Athletes who take longer than 8:30 to complete the swim, bike and run will receive a DNF. Total Time Cut-off: The race will officially end 8 hours and 30 minutes after the start. Each athlete will have 8 hours and 30 minutes to complete the race. Any athlete that takes longer than 8 hours and 30 minutes to complete the race will receive a DNF and will not be eligible for age group awards.
