Qualifications for Division of Runners Elite Runners Varsity Runners Jr Varsity Runners Boys: 1.5 mile course sub 10 minute Between 10-13 min Over 13 minutes Girls: Sub 11 mins Between 11-14 Over 14 minutes The division of runners is based on their race times and the ratio of runners to coaches. The time qualifications will adjust as runners’ improve their race time throughout the season.

Hydrate & Eat Healthy Day Before the Meet Day Of the Meet You DON’T need to CARBO Load for 1.5 miles! Avoid sugar and NO soda! Pack your bag before you go to bed: CMS Jersey in LABELED BAG! Red, Black, or White Tank Top Shoes & Socks Labeled Water & Power snack Hair ties, etc Make arrangements with your parents for the day of the meet For an AWAY meet, will you be taking the bus back to CMS? Talk about how you are going home! Can your parent volunteer? Help is ALWAYS needed- even if it’s last minute! NO AM PRACTICE, NO DAIRY, NO PB&J! Meets are on Thursdays at 5:00 pm Girls run first…Boys run about 20-30 minutes later For AWAY Meets Bus TO the AWAY meets for ALL CMS athletes STUDENTS MUST KNOW HOW THEY ARE GETTING HOME- Car or BUS? Bus to return to CMS if coaches are notified before the meet starts! Parents SIGN-OUT at AWAY meets For HOME Meets Volunteers Needed! Sign-up genius online for parent and student volunteers COLD TOWELS- by the CMS parents for CMS runners! Please make sure your athlete RETURNS the towel to the RIGHT BIN. IF your athlete ENDS UP WITH a SMALL WHITE TOWEL- please have them bring it to practice- clean or dirty just in a bag, please!

CMS Cross Country TEAM PICTURE DAY & Order Forms TEAM Picture Day is the SAME DAY as SCHOOL Picture Day! WEDNESDAY, August 29th at 7:00 am! Don’t be LATE to practice! The CMS Cross Country Team (Elite, Varsity, and JV) All the Girls will take a group photo All the Boys will take a group photo CMS athletes need to wear there jersey, black shorts and white or black undershirt. ORDER FORMS Please grab an Order Form before you leave tonight and your athlete should bring the form and money on the day of the Team Pictures.
