I. Analysis of the Teaching Materials The topic of this unit is the continuation of the past tense. By using the Simple Past Tense, which is essential in junior English, students will talk about their past. This topic is about their school trip. So it helps bring back their memories and learning motivations.

II. Students’ characteristics Although students have been learning English for several years and have got some essential information about past tense, they could not express themselves as imagined. In this class, students will get the chance of expressing their ideas and learn to describe their past experiences.

III.Teaching objectives: 1. Knowledge objectives a.   To enable students to read, spell, and understand the vocabulary correctly. b.    To help students ask and answer the new sentence pattern: Did you ~ ? And the positive and negative answers.

2. Ability objectives: a.   To improve students’ skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing. b.   To encourage students to communicate with others using the new sentence pattern. 3. Emotion objectives: a.  To train the Ss to cooperate well in groups and in pairs. b.  To be interested in communicating in English.
