Forsaken because of other’s sins Prophecy: Psalm 22:1 22:1 My God, my God, why have You forsaken me? Far from my deliverance are the words of my groaning. 2 O my God, I cry by day, but You do not answer; And by night, but I have no rest. Fulfillment: 2 Corinthians 5:21 21 He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

Born the savior Prophecy: Psalm 22:9-10 9 Yet You are He who brought me forth from the womb; You made me trust when upon my mother's breasts. 10 Upon You I was cast from birth; You have been my God from my mother's womb. Fulfillment: Luke 2:7 7 And she gave birth to her firstborn son; and she wrapped Him in cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.

They seek His death Prophecy: Psalm 22:12-13 12 Many bulls have surrounded me; Strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me. 13 They open wide their mouth at me, As a ravening and a roaring lion. Fulfillment: John 19:6 6 So when the chief priests and the officers saw Him, they cried out saying, "Crucify, crucify!" Pilate said to them, "Take Him yourselves and crucify Him, for I find no guilt in Him."

Blood poured out when His side was pierced Prophecy: Psalm 22:14 14 I am poured out like water, And all my bones are out of joint; My heart is like wax; It is melted within me. Fulfillment: John 19:34 34 But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.

Pierced hands and feet Prophecy: Psalm 22:16 16 For dogs have surrounded me; A band of evildoers has encompassed me; They pierced my hands and my feet. Fulfillment: John 20:27 27 Then He said to Thomas, " Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing."

Stripped before men Prophecy: Psalm 22:17 17 I can count all my bones. They look, they stare at me; Fulfillment: Luke 23:34-35 34 But Jesus was saying, " Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing." And they cast lots, dividing up His garments among themselves. 35 And the people stood by, looking on. And even the rulers were sneering at Him, saying, "He saved others; let Him save Himself if this is the Christ of God, His Chosen One."

Cast lots for his clothing Prophecy: Psalm 22:18 18 They divide my garments among them, And for my clothing they cast lots. Fulfillment: Luke 23:34-35 34 But Jesus was saying, " Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing." And they cast lots, dividing up His garments among themselves. 35 And the people stood by, looking on. And even the rulers were sneering at Him, saying, "He saved others; let Him save Himself if this is the Christ of God, His Chosen One."

Satan bruised the Redeemer’s heel Prophecy: Psalm 22:20-21 20 Deliver my soul from the sword, My only life from the power of the dog. 21 Save me from the lion's mouth; From the horns of the wild oxen You answer me. Fulfillment: Hebrews 2:14 14 Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil,

He rules over the nations Prophecy: Psalm 22:27-28 27 All the ends of the earth will remember and turn to the LORD, And all the families of the nations will worship before You. 28 For the kingdom is the LORD'S And He rules over the nations. Fulfillment: Colossians 1:16 16 For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities — all things have been created through Him and for Him.

His story told Prophecy: Psalm 22:31 31 They will come and will declare His righteousness To a people who will be born, that He has performed it. Fulfillment: Acts 2:36 36 "Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and Christ — this Jesus whom you crucified."

The Good Shepherd Prophecy: Psalm 23:1 23:1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. Fulfillment: John 10:11 11 "I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.

His exaltation predicted Prophecy: Psalm 24:3 3 Who may ascend into the hill of the LORD? And who may stand in His holy place? Fulfillment: Philippians 2:9 9 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name,

His resurrection predicted Prophecy: Psalm 30:3 3 O LORD, You have brought up my soul from Sheol; You have kept me alive, that I would not go down to the pit. Fulfillment: Acts 2:32 32 "This Jesus God raised up again, to which we are all witnesses.

“Into your hands” Prophecy: Psalm 31:5 5 Into Your hand I commit my spirit; You have ransomed me, O LORD, God of truth. Fulfillment: Luke 23:46 46 And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, "Father,INTO YOUR HANDS I COMMIT MY SPIRIT." Having said this, He breathed His last.

Object of dread to my acquaintances Prophecy: Psalm 31:11 11 Because of all my adversaries, I have become a reproach, Especially to my neighbors, And an object of dread to my acquaintances; Fulfillment: Mark 14:50 50 And they all left Him and fled.

Taking counsel to put Him to death Prophecy: Psalm 31:13 13 For I have heard the slander of many, Terror is on every side; While they took counsel together against me, They schemed to take away my life. Fulfillment: John 11:47-53 47 Therefore the chief priests and the Pharisees convened a council, and were saying, "What are we doing? For this man is performing many signs. … 53 So from that day on they planned together to kill Him.

“Let Him deliver Him” Prophecy: Psalm 31:14-15 14 But as for me, I trust in You, O LORD, I say, " You are my God." 15 My times are in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies and from those who persecute me. Fulfillment: Matthew 27:43 43 "HE TRUSTS IN GOD; LET GOD RESCUE Him now, IF HE DELIGHTS IN HIM; for He said, 'I am the Son of God.'"
