Our Blessing, God’s Purpose

God blesses His people so that He might be praised by all the nations and all the peoples of the earth.

The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. Numbers 6:24-26

Now the LORD said to Abram, “Go from your country and your kindred and your father's house to the land that I will show you. And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Genesis 12:1-3

I am going to bless you and multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and through your offspring all the nations of the earth shall be blessed. Genesis 26:4

And I will vindicate the holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations, and which you have profaned among them. And the nations will know that I am the LORD, declares the Lord GOD, when through you I vindicate my holiness before their eyes. Ezekiel 36:22-23

God was pleased to reveal his Son in me, in order that I might preach him among the Gentiles. Galatians 1:16

After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” Revelation 7:9-10

We are prone to disconnect God’s blessing in our lives from God’s purpose for our lives.
