Internal Energy Internal Energy of a system equals the sum of a random distribution of kinetic and potential energies associated with the molecules of the system.

A rise in internal energy of body will result in a higher temperature. Temperature Rise A rise in internal energy of body will result in a higher temperature.

Kelvin Scale There is an absolute scale of temperature which does not depend upon the physical property of any particular substance. On the thermodynamic scale (Kelvin), absolute zero is at that temperature at which all substances have a minimum internal energy.
