Nikola Tesla (1856-1943)

Biography Nikola Tesla born 10 July 1856 in the village of Smiljan (Croatia) and was the fourth child in the family of a Serbian Orthodox priest.

Education Graduated from the Polytechnic Institute in Graz, the University of Prague. In the second year of University, in 1880, he was struck by the idea of an induction alternator. Pell Professor, with whom Tesla shared the idea found its delusional. But the conclusion of Professor is only spurred the inventor, and in 1882 was built the current model.

Work area He left behind numerous writings and secrets. Nikola Tesla was one of the greatest minds of his time, and yet some people think that this man was a crazy quack, hungry for fame and money. This is not entirely true as the way of life of the scientist is not confirmed. Tesla was interested in many research areas, but first and foremost he was interested in electrical engineering and electronics. In addition, he did research in various areas of physics and engineering. In relation to this he also was interested in the processes occurring in the atmosphere, in addition, he studied the phenomenon of resonance. As a result, the writings of Nikola Tesla gave a powerful impetus to the development of many disciplines, and its development is relevant even today

Inventions and discoveries The study of alternating current. He studied the effect of electricity on the body, putting experiments on himself, and thus laid the Foundation of modern safety warnings, as well as new therapies. In addition, he invented a high frequency generator currents and the transformer, which is still simply called a “Tesla coil”. He described the phenomenon of the rotating magnetic field, thereby complementing the theory of fields. Created multi-phase electric machine, received a patent. In an effort to improve the light bulb, invented by Edison, has created a neon and fluorescent lamps. Created the first wave radio transmitter that worked on the transmission of signals and power without wires. Invented the water pump, and based on it - Dynamo. Designed asynchronous motor.

Tesla coil Transformer Tesla also Tesla coil-a device invented by Nikola Tesla and named after him. Is a resonant transformer that produces high voltage high frequency. The device was patented September 22, 1896

Remote control This invention was a natural extension of radio. Patent number 613809 was issued the world's first remote-controlled boat was demonstrated in 1898. Through the use of several large batteries and switches, which could operate by radio, the operator can control the screw and the wheel of the boat..

Electric submarine In 1898, Tesla was granted a patent for an automatic submarine, which was operated by electricity. This submarine was powered by electricity, which is received by the receiver. The energy accumulated in the batteries, and electric submarine could be controlled remotely.

Laser Lasers have revolutionized surgery and gave rise to a large part of our modern digital media. 16 of the best inventions of Nikola Tesla, However, with this leap in innovation we have also been in the ancestral lands of science fiction. Laser from the Reagan defense program "Star wars" to the modern Orwellian "non-lethal weapons", which includes laser rifles and directed “death rays”.

The ozone generator Tesla. U.S. patent No. 568177 on the ozone generator Tesla received in 1896. The ozone generator nowadays, it is forbidden for use in the United States, despite the assurances of some doctors that ozone therapy can cure cancer and AIDS. 16 of the best inventions of Nikola Tesla.
